Toshiba AC100, Android powered smartbook launched in India

Toshiba AC100 is the new electronic gadget released by the Japanese electronic legend Toshiba. Toshiba has launched this smartbook, or laptop in Indian usage for its Indian customer base. What’s more interesting in AC100 is, it’s an Android powered laptop. With Toshiba AC100, Toshiba had its hands on Google Android OS for the first time.

LG launches 2 touchscreen phones

LG has refreshed its touchscreen lineup in the country with the launch of two mid-range phones — Cookie Fresh GS290 and Cookie Plus GS500v.

Sporting a sleek look, LG GS290 features a 3-inch LCD touchscreen display with 240×400 pixel resolution. The phone has a 2 megapixel camera and a built-in Oxford dictionary. GS290 has a 28MB of internal memory that can be expanded upto 16GB.

Sony India Launches Waterproof MP3 Players

Fear that the upcoming monsoons will destruct your precious gadgets? Fret not as Sony India has launched its range of water resistant and washable Walkman W & B series MP3 players in the country.

Suitable for use in active sports, the Walkman W series allows the player to be used in rainy conditions and even cleaned under running water. The waterproof range includes two models, the NWZ-W450 and the NWZ-B150.

The NWZ-W250 offers up to 11 hours of playback time with a full charge of 90 minutes. This model boasts of a Quick Charge function that allows the Walkman to play up to 90 minutes of music with a 3 minutes charging time. Extremely light at 43gms and available in three colors, the compact, foldable W series is trendy and portable for active use.

Samsung Galaxy Beam i8520 projector Mobile to launch in July

Samsung has now officially launched its Android-based pico projector smartphone – Galaxy 3 and Galaxy 5 at CommunicAsia right now. The Galaxy 3 and Galaxy 5 will be available in the European and Asian markets. Samsung Galaxy Beam i8520 will be launched first in Singapore next month. The device is expected to hit European and Asian markets in the third quarter.

Using technology from Texas Instruments, Samsung Galaxy Beam offers movies through pico projector that offers 6 lumens brightness and it can project images anywhere from 5 to 50 inches. Samsung’s pico projector phone runs Android 2.1 with a TouchWiz 3.0. Equipped with a 3.7 inch WVGA Super AMOLED screen display, the device supports a DLP pico projector with a customized interface for the low-res but large screen area.

Integrated with an 8 megapixel camera with HD video recording, Samsung Galaxy Beam comes with 16GB of internal memory with MicroSD support up to 32 GB. Enabled with HSDPA, EDGE, GPRS, the device offers FM Radio with RDS, 3.5mm ear jack and 3D Sound Effect with dual speaker.

Equipped with Divx/Xvid, Samsung Beam is enabled with Bluetooth v2.1 and high speed USB 2.0. The device packs A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Specialized Projector UI, Hybrid Widgets, IM, Email, DLNA, Samsung Kies and push email service.
