Fear that the upcoming monsoons will destruct your precious gadgets? Fret not as Sony India has launched its range of water resistant and washable Walkman W & B series MP3 players in the country.

Suitable for use in active sports, the Walkman W series allows the player to be used in rainy conditions and even cleaned under running water. The waterproof range includes two models, the NWZ-W450 and the NWZ-B150.

The NWZ-W250 offers up to 11 hours of playback time with a full charge of 90 minutes. This model boasts of a Quick Charge function that allows the Walkman to play up to 90 minutes of music with a 3 minutes charging time. Extremely light at 43gms and available in three colors, the compact, foldable W series is trendy and portable for active use.

Remember the Sony Ericsson Shakira? The phone was leaked in a blurry image a few days ago. Back then, it was thought that owing to the codename Shakira, it might be a Walkman branded handset. Looking at the design cues however, it was clear that this was more of a shrinked version of Xperia X10 rather than any Walkman branded device. The phone is likely to be named Xperia X8 when it will be launched.

Now, one more set of images of the phone has been leaked by folks over at Mobiflip.de. The images, which look like press photographs do seem quite authentic. However, we’re still a tad skeptical, thanks to the well-known photoshop skills possessed by Sony Ericsson fans all over the world.

Sony has refreshed its Vaio E series line of laptops, adding more screen sizes and the ability to stream content to a digital TV.

The smallest of the new E family is the 14-inch EA, which includes an Intel Core i5-540M processor and up to a 500 GB hard drive and 8 GB of system memory. The new system is also available with a Blu-ray disc player and burner and an optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics cards.
